|Sheikh Hassan and Steve Curtis posted a series of impressive times around Doha Bay today, signalling the start of their new partnership in Qatar 96, with Sheikh Hassan stating that his aim was to win his home Grand Prix and lead home a Qatar one-two. |
"I am very pleased with the way things have gone today. We had one or two little problems yesterday but today we got into the swing of things and produced some consistent and quick laps," said Sheikh Hassan. "There are some little differences between this boat and the one I ran last season and obviously Steve and I have to get used to each other - but so far so good."
Curtis was equally upbeat about his fist outing with his new driver. "The only thing I have to get used to is Hassan but I am very happy with everything so far. Our times were close to my pole winning time last season and we can only get quicker with more time on the water together."
