Windmare American based Windmare Racing will make its Class 1 debut at the Montenegrin Grand Prix in Budva on 25 May, with Frenchman, Jerome Brarda teaming up with Italian, Lino di Biase.

Brarda, who made his racing debut in Europe in the eighties before moving to the USA to compete in Superboats, and the Super Cat series, confirmed that the team will run a Tencara hull powered by Mercury-Class 1, 9litre, V8 power-plants.

The new French-Italian partnership sees Brarda taking the wheel alongside experienced throttleman Lino di Biase, who won the American APBA Championship in 1997, and from 15 starts in Class 1 has won two Grands Prix, his most recent in 2006 with Abdullah Al-Sulaiti in Qatar 95, and taken four podium finishes.
