| Despite their problems in Qatar Steve Curtis and Sheikh Hassan Bin Jabor Al-Thani clocked the fastest time in todays pole position race. Running in the spare boat which has been rigged to fit the Skema V12's the pair showed they are taking the fight to the Victory team. Qatar 96 clocked 2mins 19.78 seconds a time nearly 2 seconds faster than reigning champions and 2008 championship leaders Victory 1. Jotun proved that the changes to their boat have proved worthwhile posting a 2mins 22 seconds. This puts them right in contention for a good result tomorrow.
In 4th were Qatar 95 followed by Victory 7, Foresti & Suardi and SevenEleven. Roscioli Hotels did not start a qualifying lap. |
