King Of Shaves

King Of Shaves (formerly Negotiator) are a UK based team making who made their debut in 2004. The team is the first British entrant since 2000.

The team is owned by Chris Parsonage who's promotional company is responsible for bringing the British Grand Prix to Plymouth.
Chris partnered Peter McGrath in 2004 showed early promise but could only finish the season in 7th place. In 2005 Randy Scism joined the team. Randy was the 1999 World Champion and brought a wealth of experience to the team. This was evident with the team finishing a very creditable 4th in the Championship

2006 saw the team gain a major new sponsor and a change in boat name. In addition there was a change in the driver, throttleman line up with Chris now throttleman and James Sheppard as driver. Chris and James hold the World Record for the fastest ever circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight in the old Negotiator boat. Unfortunately, despite early promise, the team were dogged by bad luck throughout the 2006 championship. Their bad luck came back to haunt the team at the 2006 British Grand Prix when the boat crashed out at 130mph. Fortunately Chris and James were unhurt but the boat would not see any race action until November after extensive repairs. Chris and new recruit Bard Eker will be hoping for better luck in 2007 and should be knocking on the doors of the top teams in the sport.
